Adams aims for attacking approach
Manager Micky Adams says he will set up his Port Vale side to attack Sheffield United on Saturday.
I want United to worry more about us than we are doing about them…
Most observers agree that with the exception of the Peterborough game, Vale have been at their best when forcing the pace and Adams appears likely to continue that approach.
He told the media: “Last year in League Two, teams had to worry about us because we seemed to have the more attacking options.
“But some teams in League One have spent an awful lot of money on attacking players and certainly good players in midfield who, given time and space, can hurt you.
“I thought Peterborough had that. We adopted a system that stifled them, but against Sheffield United I want United to worry more about us than we are doing about them.
“That will mean we will go there with attacking players and try to win the game.”
