Fringe players aim to impress

Several of Port Vale’s squad players will be aiming to force their way into first-team contention as Vale reserves take on Oldham on Tuesday.

Amongst those featuring are first-teamers Adam Yates, Chris Lines, Chris Birchall, Chris Shuker, Gavin Tomlin, Joe Davis and Sam Johnson.

Manager Micky Adams will watch the game which takes place at 1pm at Oldham’s training ground on Tuesday.
