First-team coach Rob Page has told the Sentinel that Vale’s notoriously tough pre-season training could give the team a “flying start” to the League One season.
Page told the newspaper: “The gaffer’s pre-seasons are notoriously tough and the players know that.
“We put in the hard work and we reaped the rewards. There’s no reason to change anything because it obviously paid off.
“It’s very demanding for them , but they all know it’s worth it in the end,” he added.
“It can give them a flying start and it will certainly hold them in good stead later in the season.”
