Adams rules out loan departures
Micky Adams has told the Sentinel that he won’t be letting any squad players to go out on loan as “anyone might be called on at any time.”
They can’t afford to switch off by sitting in the stand eating their meat pie and bovril while everyone is playing…
Adams has brought in four new signings during the January transfer window but even though the manager concedes he has a “decent squad” he doesn’t want any of his players to leave on loan.
Adams told the newspaper: “There’s no chance of any movement,” said Adams, who brought in four new faces during January. I’m certainly not looking to get players out.
“While some may be not be happy that they’re not in the picture at the moment, I’m not looking to diminish the squad.
“While we have a settled team at moment, and the substitutes have remained the same, it’s not a closed shop.
“Anyone might be called on at any time and they need to be ready both phsyically and mentally.
“They can’t afford to switch off by sitting in the stand eating their meat pie and bovril while everyone is playing.
“They’ve got to stay focused because their turn could be just around the corner.”
