Micky Adams told the press that both goalkeepers were “outstanding” as Port Vale and Southend United played out a goalless draw on Saturday.
Both keepers were outstanding and made some great saves…
Adams said: “I don’t know how we have got a clean sheet and Paul Sturrock will say the same for Southend.
“Both keepers were outstanding and made some great saves. A clean sheet is very rare for us and I think on another day we wouldn’t have got away with it but we have and we will take positives from this point.
“It certainly wasn’t a 0-0 bore draw because there were chances at both ends and both teams tried to win the game. But I think it was a well earned point for ourselves as we know how difficult it is to play at Roots Hall.”
