Chaudry: bidders should reveal their identities
Potential Port Vale bidder Mo Chaudry has sparked a debate by criticising a “lack of transparency” from other bidders for the football club.
Chaudry has yet to make a bid for the Valiants but is widely expected to do so before Monday’s noon deadline.
Chaudry told the Sentinel: “One of the main problems at Port Vale over the last 18 months has been a lack of transparency and that should end now.
“There are these three mystery bidders, and it is in everybody’s interest that we know who these people are. The last thing Vale needs is a repeat of the situation which got it in a mess.
“I don’t think fans are very impressed that they don’t know who is trying to take over their club.
“I don’t have any problems with the deadline set by the administrators. It is in everybody’s interest to get the deal done as quickly as possible. We will meet the deadline.
“We have been doing our due diligence over the past couple of weeks, doing a lot of research.
“I would like to make a competitive bid and I don’t think anyone else could have done such extensive preparation.
“I have been more involved with what has been going on at Vale for the past year-and-a-half, through good things and bad, and know all the characters. It means a lot to me.”
