Cornes extends Port Vale loan deal
Loanee Chris Cornes has agreed to stay on at Vale Park for a further month following discussions between Martin Foyle and Glenn Hoddle.
Wolves midfielder Cornes was the star of the show on Wednesday night as his double strike from the substitutes bench earned Vale a 2-2 draw with Oldham Athletic.
Although he has a tendency to pick up bookings, the youngster has generally impressed for the Valiants during his spell on loan and he adds much needed competition for places at Vale Park.
Cornes joins Gary Mulligan and Darrell Clark on loan at Vale.
However, there is no chance of any permanent deal being struck as the teenager has recently agreed a contract with Wolves until 2008
