Micky Cummins signs new Port Vale deal

The Valiants have received a massive boost with the news that popular midfielder Mickey Cummins has agreed a new two year deal with the club.

Cummins: Agrees new deal at Vale Park

The midfielder, signed from Middlesbrough four years ago, was a virtual ever-present last season, starting 46 games for the Valiants and scoring four goals.

The Irish-born player has now started 199 games for the club and scored 21 goals.

Cummins is the first of the four senior players offered new contracts by the club to agree a deal.

The other players – Neil Brisco, Marc Bridge-Wilkinson and top-scorer Steve McPhee – have yet to say whether they will be staying with the Valiants.
