About Valiant 2001

Valiant 2001 was a group of Port Vale supporters who launched a bid to take over Port Vale FC when it went into administration in 2002.

The group took over as owners in 2003. They were responsible for appointing Micky Adams as manager and chairman Bill Bratt was awarded an MBE but the group was also mired in controversy after the disastrous appointment of Jim Gannon as manager and rejecting a takeover bids from Mo Chaudry and Mike Newton.

The relationship between Valiant 2001 and the fans had soured to the point that the EGM in 2011 saw the board narrowly survive a vote of no confidence.
