Notes

The list is topped by striker Wilf Kirkham who netted 164 times during two spells with the club (1923-1929 and 1932-1933). Kirkham was top scorer for six seasons and netted thirteen hat-tricks.

The post-war record is held by forward Tom Pope. Pope has had three spells with Port Vale since 2010. He was named as Port Vale player of the year a record three times and has been top-scorer for six seasons.

The only other player to top a hundred goals is Martin Foyle who was a then club record signing in 1992. Foyle was top-scorer in four seasons and starred during the John Rudge glory days at the club.
