trinidadChris Birchall, Trinidad and Tobago, 27 caps, 3 goals

The only current Port Vale player to appear at a World Cup finals (2006) he qualified through his mother. Birchall retired from the side in 2013.


trinidadTony Rougier, Trinidad and Tobago, 20, 1

Signed in 1999 a prolific T&T schedule saw Rougier became the club’s most capped player despite him only spending 18 months at the club. He was then overtaken by compatriot Birchall.


northernireland Sammy Morgan, Northern Ireland, 7, 2

Morgan scored on his Northern Irish debut (versus Spain in 1972) and added a further goal against Cyprus. For many years the powerful striker was the club’s record International appearances holder.


nigeriaGeorge Abbey, Nigeria, 6, 0

The right-back played a number of African Cup games for his country.


walesTeddy Peers, Wales, 4 ,0

In 1922 the goalkeeper became the first Vale player to receive an International cap.

The former Rhyl star scored on his debut versus Finland at Wrexham.

Bingham’s Vale career was curtailed by serious injury but he went on to manage his country.

The gritty midfielder was called up as the captain of his national side. He qualified through his father.

The Rangers player represented his country while on loan at Vale Park in 2011. It was in a 3-0 Euro 2012 qualifying defeat against Italy.
