Matchday Thread: Port Vale v Bolton Wanderers

Can Turner become a man and turn our season around? Or will it be so near and yet so far? Although 4 successive defeats create a pessimistic mood, things are still tight for the 2 last drop places. We are not the only ones struggling and my heart says there is still a chance and the bounce of the ball can make all the difference. Will Brown finally get the formation right, it is a tough order, but time is running out and the team and fans will have to dig deep.

    My team:-

    Mehmet
    Smith-Streete-Bikey
Taylor-Pugh-Reeves-Foley-Kiko (only if Tanser not fit)
    Eagles-Turner

My guess is we'll continue to see 4-4-1-1 with Hooper out wide.

Brown will put the same team out I will be very surprised if he changes anything. Bolton are fighting to go up therefore I can only see a victory for Bolton. 2-0 or a 3-0 win for them. We're going down no doubt about it lads and lasses

I don't think ive ever seen Vale beat Bolton, though we not played them for 17 years. And this game will be trouble galore.

There's two reasons why we'll lose this match - i) we sold our outstanding goalkeeper in January and replaced him with a Falkirk reserve ii) We've failed to score in 5 of our last 6 matches. Can't score, can't keep a clean sheet.

Could really do with Bolton to beat Bury tonight, they'll be doing us a favour and also put themselves 4 points clear of 3rd placed Fleetwood, with 2 to go.

Bury could send us down tonight with a win at Bolton. Well not mathematically, but Bury are the only team i think we can catch now, and that's a tough ask tbh.

Very unlikely to happen. Even more unlikely than us winning away again I'd say.

Who thought Swindon would win away at Fleetwood a couple of weeks ago. Everyone can win away, except for the Vale.
