Matchday Thread: Port Vale v Northampton T

Lets build on Sunday`s performance, and carry on with the pressing game from the off. A Super December would be great and a good base if we have a giant task in the next round, or more likely firming our place in the POs and a stepping stone to the next round. Back to reality, one game at a time, the same players to turn over an old page?

Is there some sort of agreement in JJ Hooper's loan that he can't play against us?

Or is that asking too much from Vale?

He's bound to score against us if he plays

They have been on a poor run so need to be winning this, same XI as yesterday other than maybe Jerome Thomas if fit for Kelly.

Note how much better we were with a left back actually playing left back! Kiko was superb so should stay.

Weather forecast for latter part of the week suggests a bit higher temperatures so no excuse for not getting down to Vale Park on Saturday--let's build some atmosphere and inspire the lads to another win and hopefully some more goals. Up the Vale!

Guaranteed to lose this game. (Ever the optimist!)

They're in a really bad patch of form and hate their manager. Which pretty much means they'll take all three points.

Fingers crossed though and I shall be cheering the lads on. I just cant get excited over beating a poor League Two side and think it reflects on our squad more than people may think.

    Roll on Saturday!

Were Hartlepools much worse than Stevenage? Surely more confident than after that game, but within reason?

Cobblers have spent big on wages, the likes of Revell, Zakuani and Matty Taylor all must be on decent wedge, however when you have a negative dire manager in charge the money spent is hardly an issue.
We have to win this game and send Mr Page home with a defeat so that his team ' can go again ' .
