My first live game of the season. I'm going for a 2-1 win but I'm more interested in seeing Vale play and all the new players.

I hope we can start the game on the front foot and not wait 30 minutes before we get a foothold on proceedings.
From what I remember from last year they are a big strong all-action outfit that rely a lot on long throws and dead balls. Their main threat must come from JET and we must stop him from turning and running at our defence. He cut us to ribbons with BC once, so we have been warned!

One positive now is that we have quite a decent bench and lads on there who can come on and make an impact. And as the weeks pass a lot of our lads must be getting fitter and stronger and used to the game here.

Can Bruno just tell one of our players to kick Thomas out of the game in the first 5 minutes? We'll be alright then. Though Dack is also a player at this level and will be a threat all afternoon.

Expect a difficult game tomorrow, even though Gillingham seem to be a somewhat inconsistent team.

I agree Dack dominated the game last year. A quality player who I am amazed is not playing in a higher division. Contain him and the game is ours if we don't I worry he will make the difference. Can't wait for kick off. I rarely used to say that during the Page regime. Don't let the bubble burst.

If we can contain their attacking threat then we should be ok. Their defence looks shaky
considering the goals they have conceded (didn't Scunthorpe smash 5 past them)? I think we will win 3 - 1. UTV.

Gillingham on paper have a good side, lets just hope they're as poor as when they got spanked 5 a few weeks back.

    2-1 Vale.

2-1 Vale, and I'm looking forward to the commentary, and P&G after.

Hopefully with the good news of smith signing a new contract and with our good home form we can get a 5000+ crowd and witness a vale win. Gills will probably be amongst the play offs come the end of the season so it should be a good game.
