Matchday thread: Port Vale v Scunthorpe Utd

In terms of team selection, Kiko and Jerome Thomas are supposed to be fit for contention while we have new signings Martin Paterson and Sam Hart. On the other hand, JJ Hooper has left.

So, with that in mind, what would be your Vale starting XI?

Sadly the position were missing is a winger to replace JJ. Therefore none of the signings to start and de frietas to cover on the wing.

A win and the season will seem like a good 'un so far.

    2-0 to the Vale

This should be a good test for us tomorrow and provide an indication of where we're at.
A win tomorrow and I might allow myself to become slightly optimistic...

Scunthorpe have x3 first team starters out injured & played 120 minutes in the cup earlier this week, hopefully this combination may prove to be a factor in todays result....
