Coach says away support will be a “massive help” to Port Vale
Port Vale coach Dave Kevan says that the Valiants’ away support can be a “massive help” to the team.
Vale have sold out their away allocation for the trip to Salford City and the Supporters Club are planning a “black and gold” wall during the match.
It’s a massive help to the lads and the lads appreciate so much as we all do. To have that sort of backing and following is just tremendous…
Kevan told the official Port Vale website: “It’s a massive help to the lads and the lads appreciate so much as we all do. To have that sort of backing and following is just tremendous.
“We’ll do all we can to put a good show on for them and make them proud of their team.”
What is the black and gold wall?
Port Vale supporters plan to display a ‘wall of black and gold’ at Salford City on Saturday to celebrate their club being under the new ownership of Carol and Kevin Shanahan.
An allocation of black and gold cards was originally ordered as part of the black and gold protest movement against previous owner Norman Smurthwaite and the official Supporters Club have said that rather than waste the 6,000 cards, which are in Vale’s away colours, they can be put to use on Saturday.
