Port Vale loan goalkeeper Rob Lainton to Wrexham for the season
Goalkeeper Rob Lainton’s spell at Vale Park is effectively over after the keeper was loaned to Wrexham for the 2018-19 season.
The injury-plagued keeper only managed seven appearances last season after joining on a two-year deal.
As a result, Vale signed Scott Brown in the summer and with Sam Hornby as deputy, Lainton was one of four players transfer-listed by the club.
A brief club statement said:
Goalkeeper Rob Lainton has joined Wrexham on a season long loan, subject to clearance.
The club wishes Rob the best of luck for the season ahead.
