Port Vale held Blackburn Rovers to a 1-1 draw in Saturday afternoon’s friendly game.
The Valiants gave starts to several summer signings including Connell Rawlinson, Louis Dodds, Manny Oyeleke and Luke Joyce but others such as Ricky Miller and Leon Legge were left out of the matchday squad.
Vale had an early chance when Nathan Smith’s effort was disallowed before they took the lead on nine minutes through an own-goal.
The visitors equalised through a header by Lenihan on 23 minutes as it finished 1-1 at the break.
The Valiants took the opportunity to make a number of changes in the second period but it was the visitors who came closest to finding a winner as they hit the bar.
Vale were restricted to a free-kick from newcomer Brendon Daniels as it finished all-square.
