Rumour: Port Vale linked with Cheltenham Town player
The regional press say that Port Vale are close to signing Cheltentham Town left-back Jordan Cranston.
Earlier this week the South West media linked Wycombe’s promotion winning goalkeeper Scott Brown with the club and the same newspaper now claim Cranston could be joining him.
Cranston will be well known to Neil Aspin as he managed him while at Gateshead.
The 24-year-old left-back was released by Cheltenham this week after two-and-a-half years with the club.
Cranston, who started out as a trainee at Wolves would presumably offer experienced competition to Cristian Montano in the left-back position.
