Port Vale midfielder Antony Kay set for spell on sidelines
Experienced midfielder Antony Kay is set for a spell out of the team as he requires an operation for a hernia.
The 35 year-old is currently suspended but is now set to miss a further month’s worth of action due to the injury.
The veteran has been a regular in the team since moving from defence to a midfield role.
Kay, who signed a two-year deal with the club in the summer, could be replaced by Danny Pugh with Cristian Montano continuing as a makeshift left-back.
Midfielders Chris Regis and Harry Middleton could also come into the equation.
