Match report: Swindon Town 3-2 Port Vale
Vale’s winless 2018 continued as Swindon came from behind to win 3-2 at the County Ground on Saturday.
Neil Aspin made four changes including a debut for Kyle Howkins and recalling goalkeeper Ryan Boot.
The Vale took a surprise lead when Michael Tonge scored after eleven minutes following confusion in the Swindon backline.
However, static defending by the Valiants allowed former striker Marc Richards to head home on 24 minutes and then an awful kick by Boot gifted Richards a second sixteen minutes later.
The Valiants then scored an equaliser when Cristian Montano got the final touch on 42 minutes and it was level at half-time.
However, there was a sickening blow for Vale when the home side took the lead with three minutes left through Paul Mullins. That goal proved decisive as Vale once again lost away from home this season.
