Match report: Port Vale 0-0 Morecambe
Vale were grateful for a solid performance by Rob Lainton as they kept a cleansheet and picked up a point against Morecambe.
Neil Aspin made two changes handed a debut to former youth teamer Charlie Raglan and bringing back Ben Whitfield.
However, it was the visitors who had the better of the first-half with Rob Lainton making one fine save as Morecambe had several efforts on goal.
The poor first-half display prompted Aspin to make early changes with Forrester coming on for Whitfield at the break and Pugh coming on for the lacklustre Jules.
Vale did have more chances as a result with Hannant and Forrester going close but Oliver missed a good chance for the visitors too.
Tom Pope and sub Donovan Wilson had late chances for the Vale but it ended goalless. It was frustrating for Vale to be held at home again but at least the side kept a cleansheet and picked up a point.
