Trialist Alex Kempster impresses for Port Vale reserves
Whitley Bay midfielder Alex Kempster scored one and had an assist in another as Port Vale Reserves beat Bradford City 2-0.
Kempster’s cross was bundled home by Anton Forrester while the trialist also beat the keeper in a one-on-one to seal Vale’s victory.
Recent signing Dior Angus also hit the post for the Valiants.
Kempster appears to be a goalscoring midfielder for the Northern League club.
He made his debut back in 2014 while a teenager (winning the club’s young player of the year award) and has made 200 appearances, scoring 50 goals.
Vale: Lainton, Reeves, Calveley, Kelly, De Freitas (Ward, 85), Turner (Regis, 46), Middleton, Kempster, Benns, Forrester, Angus.
