Redditch chairman praises Vale as “breath of fresh air” after Angus move
Redditch United chairman Chris Swan has given fulsome praise for Port Vale’s conduct during the Dior Angus transfer.
The Valiants completed the move for the forward in early January and Swan has revealed that even though the player was not on a contract, Vale have recompensed Redditch with the offer of a friendly, loan players and a sell-on clause.
It is a breath of fresh air how Port Vale have treated us…
Speaking to local radio Swan commented: “Port Vale are a really good club and they have looked after Redditch United as well as part and parcel of the process. I actually think and the club think it’s a very good match for Dior as well.
“They will care for him, develop him and look after him.
” ‘Look, it’s non-contract but we’ll recognise the investment you have made in him with a pre-season friendly, loan players and a potential sell-on clause.’ They have looked after us well.
“We have been treated abominably and it is a breath of fresh air how Port Vale have treated us.”
