Port Vale sign Callum Howe from Lincoln City
Port Vale sign Callum Howe: the Valiants have announced the signing of young defender Callum Howe from Lincoln City.
23 year-old Howe joins the club for an undisclosed fee after signing an eighteen month contract.
The defender began his career at Scunthorpe United in 2012 but failed to make a first-team appearance before leaving the club in 2015. During his time with the Iron he was loaned out no less than five times. They were to non-league clubs Bradford Park Avenue, Frickley Athletic, Gainsborough Trinity, Gateshead and Alfreton Town. Howe made 41 appearances for his loan clubs during his various spells.
He was signed by then National League side Lincoln City where he made 44 appearances over three seasons. He was also a member of the team which won the National League title at the end of the 2016-17 season. However, he has yet to make a Football League appearance for Lincoln.
Howe has also had two loan spells – at National League sides Southport and at Eastleigh during his time at Lincoln City. He made a total of 46 appearances over two seasons for his two loan sides.

Port Vale is pleased to announce the signing of defender Callum Howe from Lincoln City on a permanent deal.
The 23 year old has signed an 18-month contract for undisclosed fee. Callum has spent the first half of this season at Eastleigh, making 26 appearances.
