Loanwatch: Sam Hornby plays in Chester draw
Goalkeeper Sam Hornby was unable to keep a clean sheet as Chester FC secured a draw on Saturday.
Hornby has had his loan spell extended by a further month and Chester manager Marcus Bignott has expressed his thanks to the club’s board for providing funds to allow the loan to take place.
The young Vale goalkeeper has been undisputed number one during his loan stay and started as Chester took on AFC Fylde on Saturday.
However, Hornby was beaten on 55 minutes as Chester drew 1-1.
Meanwhile defender Luke Dennis played from the start as Newcastle Town beat Chasetown 3-0.
