Anthony de Freitas departs Port Vale
Port Vale have confirmed that French midfielder Anthony de Freitas has left the club.
de Freitas was signed by former manager Bruno Ribeiro and was arguably one of his better signings.
He survived the summer culling of Ribeiro signings but was unable to force his way into the starting XI in recent weeks.
A club statement said:
The Club can confirm that Anthony de Freitas has departed Burslem after terminating his contract.
The frenchman joined as part of Bruno Ribeiro’s revolution in the summer of 2016 and went on to serve under three different managers at Vale Park.
The 23-year old went on to make 35 appearances in a Vale shirt and suffered relegation down to League Two at the end of the 2016/17 season.
Everyone at the Club would like to thank Anthony for his service over the past season and a half and would like to wish him well in the future.
