BPA fans review Vale loanee Graham Kelly: “the best loanee we’ve ever had…”
We went onto a Bradford Park Avenue fans forum to ask them their views on Port Vale loanee Graham Kelly.
Who is Graham Kelly?
20 year-old Kelly is one of the lesser known names at Vale Park. The left-back joined in the summer from Sheffield United but has failed to make a single senior appearance so far. He went on loan to Bradford Park Avenue in September.
Here are a selection of comments:
As far as I am concerned he is the best loanee we’ve ever had. He looks very comfortable in our back four, in what is a very tough league. Your manager (Aspin) was present at Harrogate Town last Tuesday. I’m sure he was suitably impressed. You must have a very good left back to keep him out…
We brought him in when our left back Matt Hill (experienced 36+ defender with over 600 league games including a few Premier league games) got injured, Graham stepped in and hasn’t really put a foot wrong really, positional play and distribution is great, Hill is fit again and on the bench…
He is ready for an extended loan until the end of the season…hopefully
Let’s hope Neil Aspin let’s him stay but sadly I have my doubts but I wish him luck whatever happens.
He’s solid. Always seems to be in the right position in defence. I wouldn’t say he’s pacey but he’s no slouch. He does look to get forward and puts in a dangerous cross… I’ve talked to a few fans about him and there is no doubt he has quickly become a favourite of the Avenue faithful.
Many thanks to the Bradford PA fans who took the time to reply to our questions and best of luck to their club for the rest of the season.
