Club legend John Rudge says he is “looking forward” to his new role at Port Vale and that he hopes to bring further success to the club.
The former Vale manager returned to the club on Wednesday morning in the role of Football Advisor.
If I can do something to help Port Vale, it would certainly be a thing I would cherish and enjoy…
He told the official Port Vale website: “Neil [Aspin] asked me if I could come to help him, to try and get the club up and running again.
“If I can do something to help Port Vale, it would certainly be a thing I would cherish and enjoy.
“It’s going to be a massive challenge for Neil. All I can do is try to guide him a little bit and if I can do that, it would be a great achievement for me.
“My role involves everything to do with football; looking at the players, the team and all aspects of the club regarding the playing side of things.
“It’s something I’m really looking forward to doing and hopefully we can get that little bit of success.”
