Cheltenham boss says his side should learn from Tom Pope masterclass
Cheltenham Town manager Gary Johnson says Vale striker Tom Pope gave a lesson in leading the line to his strikers.
Talking after Vale’s 3-1 win during which Pope scored twice Johnson told the local media: “Their gameplan beat us, which involved long balls to Pope, who had a very good game today.

“It’s a lesson for both centre-halves and there are some strong centre forwards in this league.
“But it’s also a lesson for our strikers to show how much they can affect a game if they are strong and winning everything.
“I am sure they are clever enough to know how effective Pope’s game was.”
