Vale hope keeper Lainton hasn’t suffered serious injury
Port Vale are hoping that luckless keeper Rob Lainton won’t be ruled out for too long after he was injured during the defeat to Coventry City.
Lainton has already been forced off the field twice this season after being sidelined with a quad injury during the Leeds game and has only played three of Vale’s eight games.
On Saturday he suffered an ankle injury which has been put in a cast. In his absence, Sam Hornby is expected to deputise.
