Micky Adams considering Port Vale Director of Football role
The Sentinel newspaper says that former manager Micky Adams is considering a role as Port Vale’s Director of Football.
Adams is understood to be considering the position, following the approach from the Valiants.
However, if he does reach an agreement with Vale, he will make clear he will not be interfering with the traditional role of the manager.
So team selection and strategy would be left to whoever is appointed to replace Michael Brown. The new manager would also be expected to have the final say on signings.
In the meantime, Michael Brown’s former assistants Chris Morgan and David Kelly are in charge of the team and are preparing for Saturday’s game at Yeovil.
