Michael Brown gives updates on Wilson, Barnett and Yates injuries
Manager Michael Brown has updated the official Port Vale website with how injured players are progressing.
Brown told the official Port Vale website: “Lawrie has had a hamstring attachment which is a very tricky surgery. You have to be careful with it, and we know that. But he is an ultimate professional; he is working in the right direction.
“It was a poor injury and he was flying before that in a very strong Bolton team. It will be great the more he progresses to bring him in to the squad properly and I am sure he is going to contribute a lot this season.”
Brown had better news about striker Tyrone Barnett adding: “It is not too soon , but he won’t be able to play ninety minutes whenever we do bring him back. He is looking bright and heading in the right direction. We would love to have him in the squad shortly.”
And on Adam Yates Brown commented: “He is progressing nicely. He is a seasoned player, Adam. He has played for a number of years and this is his football club, and he is going in the right direction to get back to full fitness, which is great to see after such a bad injury.”
