Quadruple injury concern for Port Vale
Port Vale manager Michael Brown has revealed that Anton Forrester and Danny Pugh are set for long spells on the sidelines while Rob Lainton and Cristian Montano also have injury issues.
Forrester was withdrawn from Vale’s matchday squad after pulling up in the warm-up against Wycombe while Pugh was subbed after picking up an injury.
Brown told the media: “Injury-wise we have had quite a set back this week. Anton looks like he will be three to four months, which is very frustrating. It could be an operation as well.
“Danny Pugh could be anything up to three months. He could do it a little quicker, similar to the injury I had at the start of last season, so we will see how he goes.”
Rob Lainton could also be out for several weeks with a thigh problem while winger Cristian Montano has a hamstring injury.
