New play Dirty Laundry at the Spode Works opens in October
Our good friends at Claybody Theatre have a new play which will be performed at the Spode Works.
Claybody Theatre produced the excellent Ugly Duck – the story of a Port Vale fan struggling to adapt to work as a life model and reviewed by us here. We described that production as “poignant and funny” and we’re sure this new play will live up to their high standards.
The play will be performed between the 11 October and the 22 October and ticket details will be released soon.
We’ll provide another reminder nearer the time but you may also want to keep an eye on the Claybody Theatre website.
About the new play
DIRTY LAUNDRY
Reuben Moth is dying…
His daughter, Nora, does her best to keep him clean and comfortable, but Stoke-on-Trent in the 1950s is not a clean or comfortable place – and Rueben Moth is not at peace.
In his final fever he calls out the name Emeline time and again. Nora wonders who this mystery woman could be. And why is Reuben suddenly receiving important visitors?
What secret have they all been keeping for almost twenty years? And why must it never come to light?
