Port Vale 2017 retained list – Hooper, Cicilia and Thomas leave the club
Michael Brown has announced his Port Vale 2017 retained list which confirms that JJ Hooper, Rigino Cicilia and Jerome Thomas have all left the club.
In total, the Port Vale manager has released nine players from last season’s squad. Ten players have been offered new deals of whom three have accepted the offers.
Other released Port Vale players include loan duo Ryan Lloyd and Sam Johnson, Sam Kelly, left-back Scott Tanser, goalkeeper Deniz Mehmet and young goalkeeper Harry Pickering.
Meanwhile, the club are in contract discussions with Gezim Shalaj, utility man Ryan Taylor, winger Chris Eagles, midfielder Sam Foley, right-back Adam Yates and veteran Andre Bikey.
They have also confirmed that youngsters Luke Dennis and Charlie Walford have accepted professional deals with the Valiants.
