Port Vale make one signing, close to another – Sentinel
The Sentinel newspaper says that Port Vale have signed a player with another deal also possible with both players helping to build the “spine” of the side.
The newspaper quotes CEO Colin Garlick as saying one move is complete and that both targets are domestic players.
The Sentinel says that neither signing will involve a fee although one could include a sell-on clause to his former club.
CEO Colin Garlick told the newspaper: “Looking at one that we’ve signed and one that we’re looking at, it’s quite a broad spectrum of players. We are looking at the spine of a side. A key signing would be Tom Pope at the head of that but also midfield, centre-back and goalkeeper. That’s what they’re identifying.”
