Manorshop owner Jones makes bid for Port Vale
A second bidder for Port Vale FC has emerged according to reports in the Sentinel newspaper.
The paper claims that supporter and sponsor Kevin Jones has matched the £1.25m bid made by Synectics Solutions.
Jones is owner and managing director of Manorshop and ICL. His Manorshop firm sponsored the Railway stand last season.
Jones has told the Sentinel that his bid involves two local businessmen and that they would not need to borrow money for the deal.
Earlier this week local business Synectics Solutions also made a £1.25m bid for the club.
