Port Vale legend John Rudge: I will keep my fingers crossed
Port Vale legend John Rudge has led the messages of support ahead of Vale’s crucial game against Fleetwood on Sunday.
Vale need to win and hope others drop points to survive in League One.
I will be keeping my fingers crossed that Vale manage to get a win and other results drop for them…
Rudge told the Sentinel: “I will be keeping my fingers crossed that Vale manage to get a win and other results drop for them. Port Vale means so much to me, as do the supporters who are fantastic.
“I remember going to Huddersfield and the support we had there was terrific. It will be the same at Fleetwood, the fans will be right behind them.
“We got off to a good start which makes a massive difference and it was a really good performance from the lads. I hope it’s the same situation, although Huddersfield didn’t have much to play for whereas Fleetwood to have the incentive to see if they can go up automatically.
“But Vale can’t concern themselves with that. They just have to see if they can pull off a fantastic victory.”
