Michael Brown: we know it will be tough
Interim manager Michael Brown says he still has faith in his squad despite the club’s precarious league position.
Vale face a crucial home game against AFC Wimbledon at the weekend as they bid to get out of the relegation zone.
We feel like we can do it and we know that it will be hard…
Brown told the official Port Vale website: “We have a group of players that are working very hard to try and get the results for the football club and I think that with the injuries, we still have enough to get the victories we need.
“Whether it is next game or the one after. We have eight games left, and on the eighth game we will find out if we have been good enough.
“We feel like we can do it and we know that it will be hard. We understand that the odds have been stacked against us with what has been happening, and we are still continuing.
“Those are the cards that we have been dealt and we have to put the best team out that we can, and try and get them as best equipped as we can to win the next game.”
