Port Vale run rule over midfield trialist
Port Vale included former Coventry City midfielder Ivor Lawton in the reserve side that lost 2-0 to Bradford City.
21 year-old free agent Lawton played the full ninety minutes and afterwards Vale coach Mick Ede told the Sentinel: “As we have put in the press, we are keen on possibly bringing in free agents. Ivor was a free agent that we have had mentioned to us so we thought we would have a look.”
Goalkeeper Deniz Mehmet also played the full ninety minutes of the reserve game after signing on a short-term deal.
