About the fans…
SAUSAGE – I followed Wimbledon FC when I was younger. When most fans set up their own club, I didn’t. The new club was moved closer to where I lived, and the rest is history.
DAN – I supported MK Dons since 2006 and a season ticket holder since 2010.
About the opposition…
Since the beginning of February we have been absolutely awful. We will stay up – but not by much…
How are your team doing?
SAUSAGE – Poorly. Most thought we’d finish upper-mid-table, some thought we’d make the play-offs. Not many expected us to be flirting with relegation.
DAN – Neilson has been tinkering with different ideas and formations, but since the beginning of February we have been absolutely awful. We will stay up – but not by much.
Players to watch?
SAUSAGE – There isn’t anybody!
DAN – Harvey Barnes, a teenage loanee from Leicester. He is the one shining light in our squad at the moment.
Your thoughts on the manager?
SAUSAGE – It is still early days, but he seems more pragmatic than our previous manager, who started OK years ago but got bogged down with ‘philosophy’ instead of results.
DAN – Has had a mixed start to his time here, but without doubt we’re in a holding pattern until the squad can be overhauled in the summer.
A score prediction and predicted attendance?
SAUSAGE – You will win 1-0 and we’ll take our hardcore 1,500, lighting up Burslem with our bonhomie.
DAN – I expect a 1-1 draw. Our away following will be even worse than usual because of the short-notice re-arrangement. I reckon probably around 250. If it’s more than 300 I’ll be amazed.
