Michael Brown: Vale win shows good character
Port Vale interim manager Michael Brown hailed the “good character” of his side after the 3-2 win over Swindon Town.
Brown told the media after the game: “However we won today, I wanted a win. I didn’t want to stress it too much, I wanted to play that down but deep down I was really hoping for a win.
“We’ve been playing well but not getting the results but to win like that it was a big performance from the players. Going one down shows good character.
“There are some massive games coming up, we know that. We’ve got a target that we are working towards and I told the players that if it’s not today, then we’ll just have to look after ourselves.
“We’ve got to concentrate on what we can do.”
