Oldham fan: if Vale score then they will win…
Oldham fan STEVESIDG of the OWTB forum thinks his side’s home form is hopeless as they prepare to take on the Vale…
Thanks to REP for posing the questions
About the fan…
“Been going since I was five in the late 60’s and have seen us play in all four leagues and also at Wembley twice. I used to go home and away, now it’s just home games, and I have only seen us score once at home this season in seven games!…”
About the opposition…
How are your team doing?
We’re terrible at the moment, and never look like scoring. If you score you’ll win. With the current manager we’ll be relegated. If we get a new and League One savvy escape artist before mid-January, we may have a chance of escaping relegation.
The players to watch?
We have two decent players , Ripley in goal and centre half and captain Peter Clarke.
Your thoughts on the manager?
Next question please… a decent bloke but it’s not working out as manager.
A score prediction and predicted away following?
It will be a low score, so it could be 0-0 or 0-2. The attendance will be between 3,500 and 4,000 providing you bring more than 500.
A guide for Vale fans…
Any quirky facts?
We’re going to win the next 23 games and get to Wembley for the play-offs…
Any recommendations for away-friendly pubs, parking and eateries?
There’s the Greyhound Inn which is ten minutes walk away down Holden Fold lane. There is a car park next to Clayton playing fields off Broadway but you’ll need to get there before 2pm.
Keep the faith, hope to play you again in league one next season!
