Former loanee Alex Jones signs for Bradford City
Bradford City have announced the signing of former Port Vale loanee Alex Jones on a two and a half year contract.
The former Birmingham City forward moved to Vale in August but his loan deal expired this month. The Valiants tried to sign him on a permanent basis but chairman Norman Smurthwaite revealed that they couldn’t agree personal terms.
“As soon as I knew a team the size of Bradford were interested in me, I was always drawn to them more than the other teams interested in me,” Jones told the Bradford City website.
“It was good to get out on loan and get some first team experience, and I think I’ve taken my chance and managed to get a move to Bradford.”
