Loan news: Dream start for Ryan Boot
Here’s our round-up of how Port Vale’s on-loan players did during the midweek fixtures.
Ryan Boot (Worcester City)
The keeper has had a great start to his Worcester City career. After just two appearances he has two cleansheets and two wins. On Tuesday night, he played the whole 90 minutes as Worcester beat Brackley 2-0.
Ryan Lloyd (Chester)
The midfielder played 90 minutes of their 2-0 win over rock-bottom Guiseley. He also came close to scoring his third goal of the season but his effort hit the post. Nevertheless, Lloyd has an impressive two goals in seven appearances for Chester this season.
Sam Johnson (Gateshead)
It was a bad day for the Heed as they lost 1-0 to North Ferriby United at home. However, Johnson came in for personal praise for a number of good first-half saves.
Note: Kidsgrove Athletic, who have striker Dan Turner on loan, were not in midweek action.
