Gillingham 0-2 Port Vale, April 2016

The Valiants recorded an excellent away win thanks to two early goals. Striker AJ Leitch-Smith netted on 19 minutes and just two minutes later a rare Carl Dickinson striker made it 2-0. Vale held on to record a clean sheet and three points.

The Valiants came from behind to secure a point at home to the Gills. Jak Alnwick handled a backpass and Bradley Dack opened the scoring from the resulting free-kick as the away side took the lead but Louis Dodds equalised just after the half-hour mark.

Supersub Colin Daniel earned Vale all three points with a late winner at Vale Park. Ben Williamson had given Vale the lead after just eleven minutes but the Gills equalised on the half-hour mark through Cody McDonald. But Daniel came on as a substitute for Williamson and struck the winner in injury-time to earn Vale the win.

Gillingham 2-2 Port Vale, November 2014

Another late Vale goal earned them a share of the points at Gillingham. Striker Dany N’Guessan had given Vale the lead only for a John Egan double to put the home side ahead. But veteran Michael Brown equalised in the dying moments to earn Vale a draw.
