Reports claim that former Port Vale loanee Ryan Inniss has been “sent to prison” after pleading guilty to an unnamed criminal offence.
The Crystal Palace defender only joined current club Southend United on loan nine days ago and last week he told local media that he was excited to begin playing for the Shrimpers.
However, this week the Southend Echo have reported that Inniss has been sent to jail for a criminal offence.
The newspaper contains a quote from a Crystal Palace spokesperson which confirms the court case saying: “Crystal Palace Football Club are aware of the Ryan Inniss court case and sentence which is subject to appeal. Therefore, at this time the club cannot comment further on the matter, for legal reasons.”
Inniss spent two loan spells with Vale although both spells were affected by injuries. In total he made 20 appearances for the Valiants.
