Foley is Vale’s main injury concern
Midfielder Sam Foley remains Vale’s main injury doubt ahead of Tuesday’s game against Millwall at Vale Park.
Foley has been an instrumental player this season and his presence was missed as Vale lost 2-1 to Bristol Rovers in his absence.
The 29 year-old has an ankle injury and while Vale have not ruled him out of this game they may decide it is wiser to allow him a full recovery ahead of Saturday’s game against Coventry City.
If Foley misses out, Vale could turn to Quentin Pereira or perhaps tweak their formation to allow the likes of Sebastien Amoros, Michael Brown or even Gezim Shalaj to start.
One other concern for Vale would be Saturday’s goalscorer Martin Paterson. The striker broke his goal drought at the weekend and will be keen to continue but he had admitted he is not back to full fitness and the Valiants could be concerned about the effects of two games in four games.
If Paterson is ruled out, Rigino Cicilia is set to step in.
