Coach says Vale are spoilt for choice in midfield
Port Vale coach Andy Smith has hailed the impact of substitutes Quentin Pereira and Sebestien Amoras as he claims Vale have plenty of midfield options.
The Valiants appeared to miss the influential Anthony Grant in the 4-1 loss to Bury but subs Pereira and Amoros played their part in Vale’s stirring late comeback against Peterborough.
It is very pleasing that you have a selection of players that you can rely on…
Vale coach Andy Smith told the Sentinel: “It is very pleasing that you have a selection of players that you can rely on. Quentin and Sebastien came on and I thought they were fantastic.
“They were positive in the right areas. You can be brave by tacking but also you can be brave by getting on the ball and they showed that and the class they had.
“I was more happy with the attitude when they came on. They worked extremely well as a unit.
“It is great for us and the club, but also good for the gaffer. It will pickle his head on selections. They conducted themselves extremely well and we are doing okay.”
